Men Are Getting It!

Cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures in the country are still mostly sought after by women, but nowadays there are more and more men that are choosing to have these procedures done. There has been a recent boom in methods that enhance appearance that are non-surgical, and men are now getting involved.

Most men want a fast recovery time, and for the procedure to be unnoticed by their friends, family and coworkers, they want the process to fit into their life with ease. Nowadays, men pay more attention to how their skin appears due to the higher awareness of skin cancer, and of course men also like to improve their appearance when they can. It's also easier to see that the more sun exposed are also the most aged and this is no surprise given the deleterious effect of UV light on the skin's elastic network.

The damage that is caused by the sun can be partially repaired and protected using advancements in skin care techniques. It is pretty quick to apply, a little at night before bed, and an application following the morning shave.

Of the types of procedures available, men specifically seem to consider rhinoplasty. Many times a larger sized nose is bothersome to the man, and other times it's a crooked or oddly shaped feature that is the issue. Rhinoplasty is generally performed as a day patient under a general anaesthetic and return to work is possible after a week but some bruising may persist for as long as two weeks.

Men are more attracted to a procedure that will leave only minimal scars, so they also look at face lifts and neck lifts, and blepharoplasty. However most men don't want that over-done look. Mostly, men would prefer to have some wrinkles than have a major surgical procedure that would be obvious to their acquaintences.

No matter what some men seem to do to reduce fat in certain areas, like a good diet and active lifestyle, some of it seems to remain. Commonly this is in the flank region or on the abdomen where men tend to carry most of their fat. Men can usually return to work the day after having a liposuction procedure, as it's a day procedure that will help to reduce excess fat in these regions.

Those men who are particularly interested in having a muscular look to their bodies seem to be prone to look at hair removal as an option. The more powerful lasers are much more effective at significantly reducing hair numbers. For the selected areas of the body, several treatments are needed, and one should avoid tanning before undergoing this process.

Whatever men do, they tend to do it for reasons different from those of women. There is a competitive pressure in the marketplace for men, real or imagined. Men want to look like a younger version of themselves, so it is recommended that men seek out a cosmetic surgeon who has experience working on men.
